Installation terms and service:

General Terms
Upon signing this contract, I acknowledge that I have read and understand both these terms and the quote. Once this contract has
been signed and payment for deposit received, Nova Doors and Windows agrees to carry out the work stated in this contract in a good
and workmanlike manner in accordance with the generally accepted standard of care in the industry.


Payment

  • We require a minimum 50% down payment for deposit, non-refundable 7 days after final measure.

  • We accept cash, cheques, debit, e-transfers or credit cards (Visa or MasterCard only).

  • Financing is available OAC, a 10% deposit is still required, ask our sales representatives for more information.

  • Balance due upon substantial completion. Backorders and deferred work will be invoiced separately.

Warranty

  • Please see warranty information on our website for specific product warranties.

  • Products purchased through Nova Doors and Windows but not manufactured by Nova will be subject to the
    manufactures warranty (including, but not limited to, insulated glass units, doors, siding, skylights, etc.)


Timeline

  • Nova will place all the products on the order in production once we receive and process the deposit. A final measurement may be required before products are put into production.

  • Once all the products are complete and ready to install, we will contact you to schedule the installation date and time.

  • We make every effort to ensure that we stay within the installation time frame, but we do not guarantee any installation date; weather and other circumstances beyond our control can impact the installation schedule.

  • We do not offer ANY monetary compensation for lost time or wages due to cancellation or delays during installation.

  • Changes/cancellations to orders must be made in writing within 24hrs of making a deposit.
    Custom door and/or window orders are final sale. Changes after the allotted time period will result in an additional charge; cancellations after the allotted time period are to be paid in full, less any deposits.


Responsibility

  • It is expected that the customer has read and understands the quote in its entirety. Ask your sales representative!
    Request for changes must be made in writing by the customer.

  • Work areas will be left in broom clean condition. All unwanted materials will be removed. Materials to be kept must be made known to the sales person before the time of installation.

  • Nova is NOT responsible for the following:

    • Hardware for doors (except hinges and MPL systems) must be provided by the customer on day of installation.

    • Concrete cutting is the responsibility of the homeowner. Nova will help with coordination only.

    • Existing storm doors will not be reinstalled.

    • Concealed concerns inside the wall including, but not limited to, rot, water damage and insufficient framing.

    • Stop/change work orders will incur additional charges.

    • Removal and reinstallation of window coverings including, but not limited to, blinds, curtains, curtain rods and brackets.

    • Existing window coverings may not fit new products.

    • A 2 – 4-foot work area around installation zone(s) should be cleared by the customer, this applies outside also, including but not limited to furniture, artwork, decorations, plants, toys, bikes, snow, etc.

    • Filling and painting of interior build-outs, casings and wood door frames, or drywall/paint lines not covered by trim. Must be completed with-in 45 days to maintain warranty.

    • Consequential or special damages resulting from installation are the responsibility of the home owner, including but not limited to drywall, flooring and siding. Every precaution will be taken during installation processes.

    • Interior condensation. Condensation is a normal result of the changes between the inside/outside temperature and the humidity level inside the house. Please refer to the Canadian government NRC website for more details.

    • In cases where electrical, plumbing or alarm system work is required to complete the installation, the customer is responsible for contacting the appropriate trade. Delays with outside trades may incur additional charges.

    • We cannot guarantee the exact color match between the products (windows, doors), the caulking, the vinyl board and/or the aluminum capping. Certain colors are not available for caulking, vinyl board or aluminum capping; the closest match will be used.
