Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. warrants its vinyl windows and doors to be free from manufacturing defects. Said warranty includes, subject to normal and proper use: peeling, flaking, blistering, corrosion and rot, subject to the following conditions and limitations:
Marquise, Distinction & Vision Series — Lifetime Warranty
Exterior paint – 10 years
HARDWARE
Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. warrants the hardware used to manufacture its vinyl windows and doors will be free from manufacturing defects and will remain in operational condition, with regular maintenance, subject to the following conditions and limitations:

GLASS
Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. warrants the insulated glass units used in its vinyl windows and doors to be free of manufacturing defects. This warranty includes, subject to normal and proper use, material obstruction from dust or film formation owing to faulty manufacturing of the hermetic seal, subject to the conditions and limitations on the following products:

Vision Series Windows — 10 Year Warranty
CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS
Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. has a broad and comprehensive warranty; although, there are certain conditions and limitations. If any component of our vinyl windows & doors is found to be defective during the warranty coverage period, Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. will repair or provide a suitable replacement, at our discretion. In the event of product replacement under the terms of this warranty, the warranty of said product replacement will remain in effect for the balance of the warranty period from the date of purchase of the original product.
Normal travel and labour costs, limited to mainland Nova Scotia, incurred during repairs or replacement of the parts or product will be covered by Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. only in the event that the defect occurs within 10 years of initial installation by Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. (except Marquise and Distinction which are warranted lifetime on parts and labour, limited to mainland Nova Scotia). Normal travel and labour costs, limited to mainland Nova Scotia, incurred during repairs or replacement of the parts or product on all supply only products will be covered by Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. only in the event that the defect occurs within 1 year of initial purchase, subject to site survey.
Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. will only be responsible for the labour and parts or product cost associated with the removal and replacement of the product itself. Any lifting device or staging required to repair or replace a vinyl window or door component under the warranty is not covered and will be the responsibility of the customer. Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. will not be liable for instances of misuse, abuse, neglect or improper handling or storage that led to product failure or damage. The warranty will be null and void in the event of improper installation, impact of foreign objects, fire, earthquake, flood, lightning, hurricane, hail, tornado, or other acts of God or nature.
All products require regular maintenance to continue operating properly. Failure to complete regular maintenance of your vinyl windows or doors may void the warranty.
Defects in wall construction in which a vinyl window or door was installed, or damage to the wall caused by movement, distortion, cracking or settling of such wall or foundation, will void warranty coverage. Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. will not be held liable for discoloration or other damage caused by exposure to harmful chemicals. Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. vinyl windows & doors are not warranted against glass breakage, regardless of the reason, or condensation resulting from humidity within the house or building area caused by changes in interior/exterior temperatures. Any after-market product installed that could compromise the integrity of the product may void the warranty.
The Lifetime Warranty offered by Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. is valid only for individual homeowners, for their lifetime and as long as they own the home. The Lifetime Warranty does not apply to homeowners who are not the original purchaser of the vinyl windows & doors or for premises not occupied year-round by the owner as their principal residence throughout their ownership (ie. Cottage/cabin, rental property, etc.). In these cases, the warranty period will be 20 Years on vinyl, 10 Years on insulated glass, 5 Years on hardware and 1 year on labour, limited to mainland Nova Scotia.
This warranty does not apply to windows or doors purchased for commercial use (see commercial warranty).
OTHER CONDITIONS
As of February 1, 2021 this warranty is expressly in lieu of all other oral or written warranties, liabilities, or obligations of Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. No representative of Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. is authorized to make changes or modifications to this warranty. In no event shall Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. be liable for consequential or incidental damages of any kind, including damage to persons, the building, or its contents.
MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM
To make a claim under this warranty, it is the obligation of the homeowner to notify Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. with-in 30 days of any defect occurring. Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. will investigate the claim and examine the product believed to be defective. This inspection will determine what, if any, performance under this warranty is required, and shall, within a reasonable period of time, provide the necessary repair or replacement.
INSTALLATION WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

Nova Doors And Windows Ltd., in addition to any manufacturers warranties, offers a 10-Year Workmanship Warranty on all residential window installation work. This warranty is backed by a 5-year warranty through Window Wise Certification. *Ask your sales representative for more information*
Nova Doors And Windows Ltd., in addition to any manufacturers warranties, offers a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty on all residential siding, eavestrough, roofing and door installation work (ie. Steel doors, patio doors, etc.) except for storm doors.
Nova Doors And Windows Ltd., in addition to any manufacturers warranties, offers a 1-Year Workmanship Warranty on all storm door and service installation work (ie. Glass, hardware, etc.).
These warranties are offered only on products or services supplied and installed by Nova Doors and Windows Ltd. The warranty on the products installed will be in accordance with the specific manufacturer of that respective product.
These installation warranties exclude add-on doorknobs & locking devices, or accent and accessory hardware as they are subject to weather and seasonal changes resulting in required regular maintenance and adjustment.
Nova Doors And Windows Ltd. will be not be responsible for any abuse, neglect, or any item that would be considered to be normal periodic adjustment. These warranties will cover remedy of the faulty workmanship and do not cover any incidental or coincidental work caused by such. These warranties are fully transferable to any subsequent purchasers of the residential property. These warranties are only valid on personal residences. Commercial properties will receive a 5-year limited workmanship warranty on windows, doors, siding and roofing and a 1-year limited warranty on service work.
