Nova Doors and Windows is currently looking for a self-directed, motivated individuals to fill the multi-purpose position of a Lead Window & Door Installer from our Valley location in Colbrook, NS. The successful candidate will display common sense, will be outgoing, have a respectful positive attitude, take pride in their work and have a good work ethic.

Requirements:
Must be reliable, punctual, and organized
Good communication skills
Able to use hand tools and power tools with confidence and safely
Capable of safely lifting up to 100 lbs
Comfortable with heights and using ladders and scaffolding
Drivers license with clean abstract
Able to follow direction and work well with team members
At least 5yrs experience installing windows, doors and siding
Ability to problem solve and direct team members as a lead installer
Assets for position:
Carpentry experience (framing and finishing work)
Your own basic tools (tool belt, hammer, measuring tape etc...)
The ability to diagnose and resolve complex installation issues
Ability to use metal brake for cladded window application
Bondable
Whimis, Fall arrest and First aid preferred
Wage will be hourly and range depending on skill level and experience

Main Job Duties:
Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise
assemble parts to form final products
operate machinery
complete reports on product inspection

Can work well independently and be a leader in team situations
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot common problems with windows and doors
Standing for extended periods of time
Organized and detail oriented, able to effectively report problems.
